🌙 Sunday Night Note
The ProcureTech "Regular Season" Is Coming...
Last March, I had a silly idea I decided to test out… I asked my LinkedIn connections to nominate their favorite procurement technology solutions for a “NCAA March Madness bracket” style tournament.
The objectives?
→ Get people talking about their favorite ProcureTech solutions
→ Get people learning about new ProcureTech solutions
→ Hopefully, have some fun along the way
I figured a few procurement technology nerds would get involved (👀 I see you reading this newsletter…), we’d have a bit of fun and call it a day.
2 weeks, 64 solutions, 800,000+ impressions and 12,000+ interactions later, I realized I had severely underestimated the potential of this silly idea…
Here’s how the March 2024 tournament shaped up…
It turns out procurement professionals are really eager to learn about technology that can improve their work in a fun, relaxed setting that does away with the traditional sales cycle, saving them loads of time!
Learn more by reading the full 2024 tournament summary.
The one comment that kept coming back?
“That was fun but I would have loved to be able to see the product behind the logos and company names before voting.”
I immediately got to work to make the 2025 tournament better.
My solution? The ProcureTech Cup “Regular Season”.
What is the ProcureTech Cup Regular Season?
In the lead up to March 2025’s ProcureTech Cup, I’ve partnered with 25 ProcureTech brands to bring you a weekly free demo via LinkedIn Live and YouTube.
Every Friday, at 12pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), I’ll host a provider on a 30-min live stream to discuss:
Their company overview
Their unique value proposition / ideal customer profile
View a short demo of their product
Place them on the Pure Procurement market map
You will be able to follow along via this newsletter (I’ll be adding a new content block), LinkedIn events or the new Pure Procurement YouTube channel to view recordings.
I’m just standing up the YouTube channel now but do subscribe to ensure you don’t miss anything.
Why only 25? Isn’t the ProcureTech Cup tournament for 64 brands?
Touché!
Putting this together is a lot of work… I’m starting with 25 to keep things high quality and confirm that procurement professionals have an interest in this format.
However, there will still be 64 brands in the March 2025 tournament.
If it works well, I’ll try to get to all 64 tournament participants in the 2025-26 season.
As for the 25 solutions providers you’ll be seeing over the next 8 months?
